Finally, HUMP DAY!

If you missed our wonderful morning show, you'll want to Google Why We Hate Us. The author is longtime journalist Dick Meyer and this book is such a good read--and a very good look at the changes in our "polite" society in the past few decades. He has some great insights as to how we can "hate" ourselves less and work toward improving our own community. Our other guest this morning penned a great book for parents of explosive children. Dr. Douglas Riley (author of The Defiant Child) just published "What Your Explosive Child Is Trying to Tell You" and you can check it out at www.drdouglasriley.com. Don't forget about Bravo's "Grease" coming to the North Fond du Lac High School Theater this weekend.

Don't miss Thursday's morning show as we interview the co-author of The Last Lecture, Jeffrey Zaslow. Professor Randy Pausch died of pancreatic cancer on July 25th, 2008, and you can view his lecture at www.TheLastLecture.com. It's so very touching and so is the book. Join us tomorrow, ok?

MONDAY'S Show!!

Whew! It's always a good feeling to have Monday's show.....how should I put it?? Over with!! Not that it isn't always a pleasure to walk in that studio and see Jon Carson's shining face. Let's just face it--Mondays are difficult days--for me anyway. However, Medium Monday is always the best Monday to have. Go to www.bridgingtwoworlds.net for information on the Brain Candy Project, a non-profit organization that helps parents of children with brain cancer.

Don't forget--tomorrow is "The Best of Jon and Mary" but we return on Wednesday with your Text-In question and a chance to win a $40 Pro Cellular accessories gift certificate. Enjoy the rest of your Monday and GO PACKERS!!

TUESDAY's Review!

Text-In Tuesday is a blast! It's always fun to see what answers are sent in via text (we have such creative listeners here in the South Valley). Speaking of creative, how would you like to be able to channel messages from your angels? Find out more about angel communication and angel art therapy with Lori Daniel Falk. Check her out at www.crystallineinstitute.com. Lori comes to Fond du Lac August 13th to do an Enchanted Evening of Angel Communication. To register and get more information, call Linda at 920-948-2100. You can also e-mail heavenonearthhealingllc@yahoo.com.

We'll talk to you Wednesday--Wheel of Summer, the Wiggles, Health Fair on the Lake, and so much more. Got to fly (maybe my angel will be soaring next to me--and maybe not)!!

MONDAY with Jon and Mary

I'm always relieved when the early Monday morning hours are over--you know, the part about getting out of bed, getting ready for work, blah, blah, blah. Once you actually GET to work, it's not quite so bad. I have it pretty 'made in the shade' because you can't sit across from Jon Carson without laughing at the big goofball--thanks for that Jon!!

We had fun talking to our K107.1 Fitness Expert, Lynn Roethke from Club Olympia (wow, is she FIT!) about the upcoming Olympics as Lynn participated in several Olympic competitions in judo and won a silver medal. Learn more about Lynn on our experts' page on www.k107.com.
If you'd like to learn more about the Fiske Guide to Colleges 2009, go to www.fiskeguide.com for information.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's show. It's fun to give prizes away so join us--maybe you'll win Wiggle tickets or a new DVD or the $40 accessories certificate from Pro Cellular.

Enjoy your Monday and we'll talk to you tomorrow morning!

THURSDAY'S recap (yeah, almost FRIDAY!)

Check out the Cave of the Mounds website at www.caveofthemounds.com and find out what's going on there this weekend. I think it sounds like a lot of fun for the kids! It's only a 20 minute drive west of Madison. The Paine Art Center and Gardens is a great place to enjoy the weekend as well with magnificent art and breathtaking gardens.

Hope all you "General Hospital: Night Shift" fans enjoyed our interview with Antonio Sabato Jr.--I know I did.

FRIDAY, FRIDAY, FRIDAY!! Tomorrow Jon and I have our usual fun with Tony Meade from the Fond du Lac Theater--listen to win two movie passes AND to find out what new movies are in theaters this upcoming weekend. Speaking of weekend, hang in there--it's almost here!

WEDNESDAY recap!

Lots of prizes given away today because that's the kind of morning show Jon and Mary is--very generous. Now, if I can get my hand back to the keyboard after strenuously patting my back, I'll give you some info. about today's show.

If you're a science fiction or space travel "geek", you've got to check out Michael Belfiore's book, "Rocketeer", now available in paperback at http://www.amazon.com/. Check out his website at http://www.michaelbelfiore.com/. Maybe you want to travel into space on SpaceShipTwo. As for me, I don't need space--I've got enough of it between my ears!

Thursday's show is looking good! We'll get to Weekend Buzz with all the happenings around the South Valley (don't forget about http://www.k107.com Community Calendar--what a great resource for your recreation needs). Jon and I will talk to the director from Cave of the Mounds--they have an exciting weekend celebration that sounds like a nice field trip for the family for this upcoming weekend.

But ladies, I have to admit that my heart (and various other body parts) is all aflutter about Antonio Sabato Jr. being on the show tomorrow)--that's right, it's Jagger Cates from General Hospital: Night Shift on SOAPnet. He's also NBC's winner of "Celebrity Circus" (I'd go under the Big Top with him anytime). I can't wait!! See you tomorrow on the radio!
