Friday 6/25 Live Blog

Our chestnuts are halfway roasted, visions of sugarplums are dancing halfway through our heads, our shopping lists are halfway done. 'Tis all because today is June 25, the magical halfway point to Christmas Day (and you called us foolish for still having those lights up on our house).

We're also reflecting on the year that has passed since the death of Michael Jackson. What better way to celebrate his musical talent than with a pair of tickets to Summerfest? We just know MJ would love a Leinie's to go with his deep-fried Snickers if only he were still with us...

Rebecca Wells brought us The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and she returns with her latest work, The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder. A story of love lost and found against the Louisiana landscape. The book is now in stores.

Our Friday wrapped with Tony Meade and a look at today's new movies. Adam Sandler leads a cast of his buddies (oh, and Salma Hayek) in Grown Ups, while Tom Cruise saves Cameron Diaz in Knight and Day (opened Wednesday). Get a full list of area movies and showtimes for the weekend at k107.com.
