Friday 8/14 Live Blog

Waukesha native and original Guitar Hero Les Paul licked his final axe yesterday, passing at the age of 94. The statement from Slash: "Les Paul was a shining example of how full one's life can be; he was so vibrant and full of positive energy." We dedicate today's blog to his memory (sort of the very very very very very very very least we could do).

Ever think about what goes into making a "paw"-fect party for your dog? Neither have we. Regardless, doggie expert Kimberly Schlegel Whitman joined us with tail-wagging tips on throwing the bestest pooch party in the neighborhood. Her newest book, Dog Parties: Entertaining Your Party Animals, is now in stores.

Our buddy Spike stopped by for our very first Johnsonville Packer Preview of the season. The Packers host the Browns tomorrow night, coverage starts at 5pm on K107.1, and we'll have your chance to win $25 worth of Johnsonville brats before every game all season!

Tony Meade dropped in with a fistful of reviews for this week's new releases. Our pick for the weekend is either Peter Jackson's District 9 or The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. Also in theaters, Bandslam and The Time Traveler's Wife. Movie listings and showtimes at k107.com.
