The great Hall of Fame announcer Ernie Harwell passed away last night after a yearlong battle with cancer. Doing play-by-play for the Detroit Tigers over a 55 year career, Ernie served as a major influence in the future radio career of a young Jon Carson. His voice will be missed but never forgotten.
