Monday 3/8 Live Blog

The 82nd Academy Awards are in the books with an overall predictable, yet entertaining, evening. The only beef we could find here at Jon & Mary in the Morning is the exclusion of the great Ed McMahon from the annual 'Montage 'O Death'. You're telling us, Oscar producers, that among the actors, directors, and executives who passed over the last year you couldn't find 3 seconds to slide in a picture of Ed?!?! You spent 15 minutes on a horror film montage alone, and another 10 on Miley Cyrus misreading her teleprompter. Shameful.

It seems like only yesterday we were gearing up for the 81st Academy Awards (where...um, that one movie with the guy in it won Best Picture), and here we go getting set for the 82nd edition this Sunday. We're big fans of both Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, the hosts this year, but don't you sort of hope someday for a re-animated Johnny Carson to once again take the reins as Oscar host? Maybe a clone Johnny? Maybe someone builds a Johnny robot? We'll keep our fingers crossed...

Monday 3/1 Live Blog

March comes roaring in like a lion today with...a chance of scattered flurries?!? Lynn from Club Olympia made her monthly visit with scale in hand. The numbers were encouraging, (Jon 217 lbs, 10.9% body fat; Mary 102 lbs, 15.1% body fat) if not a total cause for celebration. Stop in to see Lynn and get your sweat on with classes and fitness memberships.
